Diesel Production Units – The rising cost of fuel delivery to remote sites has increased the popularity of diesel production units (also known as topping units). These units produce fuel suitable for use in electrical generators and off-road vehicles from crude oil. The most common use is at Central Production Facilities where crude oil is readily available, but refined fuels are difficult or expensive to import.o Our units will typically produce a broad range distillate fuel (diesel, kerosene, or gas oil boiling ranges) suitable for engine or turbine use. The heavier fuel oil and lighter naphtha products are typically blended and re-injected into the sales pipeline.o Diesel production capacity varies from as small as 50 barrels per day to as large as required. Turndown capability is generally about 50% of nameplate capacity.o The fired heater for vaporizing the incoming crude requires fuel. The most preferable fuel is flare gas from the CPF. If waste fuel gas is not available, the unit can be designed to burn diesel fuel or specialized equipment can be added to allow burning residual fuel oil.o The production units can be designed with or without steam stripping of the products depending on utility availability. Instrument air compressors can be included.o Alloy construction is available if required by the crude properties.

The Modular Advantage –
Ventech's fabrication
facilities, located just off the Houston ship channel, allows highly skilled professionals to fabricate units under ideal working conditions .
This "In-House" method greatly reduces time and money
normally spent on problems such as adverse weather and/or field
conditions. The Houston area has an abundance of skilled
labor, materials and equipment vendors due to the local oil refining and
petrochemical industry. These factors combine to provide several
advantages:
